- Catchers Shawn Hughes and Mike Raymondi, outfielder Edgardo Larregui, infielders Tony McCladdie and Marc Niethammer, and pitchers Jeff Shinar and Mark Thompson were released from minor league camp.[1]
- Infielder Jamie Ebling retired.[1]
2001
- Pitcher Jesus Colome and catcher Toby Hall were optioned to Triple-A Durham.[2]
- Pitcher Bobby Seay was optioned to Double-A Orlando.[2]
- Pitcher Mike Duvall was released.[2]
2003
- Outfielder Greg Vaughn, and pitchers John Frascatore and Bob Wells were released.[3]
- Pitchers Delvin James and Jason Standridge, and infielders Antonio Perez and Jared Sandberg were optioned to Triple-A Durham.[3]
