- Infielder Bobby Smith was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a pulled right hamstring, retroactive to May 13.[1]
- Pitcher Bryan Rekar was transferred to the 60-day disabled list.[1]
- Pitcher Eddie Gaillard was recalled from Triple-A Durham to Tampa Bay. [1]

- Infielder Bobby Smith was optioned to Triple-A Durham.[2]
- Infielder Miguel Cairo was activated from the 15-day disabled list.[2]
