- Pitcher Terry Harvey was acquired from Cleveland in exchange for a player to be named.[2]
- Catcher Cesar Devarez was acquired from from Baltimore[3] and assigned to Double-A Orlando.[4]
- Catcher Sam Voita and outfielder Doug Carroll were assigned to Advanced-A St. Petersburg.[2]
- Travis Whitson and outfielder Tom McKinnon were assigned to Class-A Charleston.[2]
- Pitcher Mike Kimbrell and outfielder Matt Kastelic were assigned to extended spring training.[2]
