In 1998, the Tampa Bay Devil Rays organization sent their first sizeable delegation of players to the Arizona Fall League.

Devil Rays minor league pitchers Mickey Callaway, John Daniels, and Jason Johnson, outfielders Kerry Robinson and Luke Wilcox, and infielder Steve Cox played for the Grand Canyon Rafters that year.[1]
