- A groundbreaking ceremony was held for a 15-month, $63 million renovation to Tropicana Field prior to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays' inaugural season.[1]
1998
- Pitcher Cory Lidle was claimed off waivers from Arizona.[2]
1999
- Outfielder Terrell Lowery was outrighted to Triple-A Durham.[3]
2001
- Tampa Bay dismissed Bill Fischer from his position as Major League pitching coach.[4]
- Outfielder Juan Guzman was activated from the 15-day disabled list and released.[5]
- Infielder Bobby Smith was selected from Triple-A Durham.[5]
2010
- Outfielder Rocco Baldelli was placed on the 15-day disabled list due to leg fatigue.[6]
- Infielder Willy Aybar was activated to replace Baldelli on the roster.[6]
- Minor league infielder Cody Cipriano was activated from the 7-day disabled list at Double-A Montgomery.[7]
