- Outfielder Mike Kelly was acquired from Cincinnati in exchange for a PTBN. It was the first Major League trade for Tampa Bay, and Kelly became the first player to be added to the Devil Rays' 40-man Major League roster.[1]
1999
- Infielder Wade Boggs announced his retirement.[2]
2002
- Tampa Bay named John McLaren as bench coach, Matt Sinatro as bullpen coach, and Chris Bosio as pitching coach.[3]
2009
- Catcher Gregg Zaun filed for free agency.[4]
