1999
- Pitcher Alan Newman and infielder Scott McClain were released.[1]
- Pitcher Rolando Arrojo and infielder Aaron Ledesma were traded to Colorado in exchange for infielder Vinny Castilla.[1]
- Outfielder Greg Vaughn was signed to a 4-year Major League contract.[1]
- Pitchers Chad Ogea (from Detroit) and Chris Reitsma (from Boston) were selected in the rule 5 draft.[1]
- Infielder Damian Rolls was acquired from Kansas City (after being selected from Los Angeles (NL) in the rule 5 draft) in exchange for a player to be named or cash considerations.[1]

- Pitchers Bryan Rekar and Dan Wheeler were released.[2]
- Pitcher Steve Kent was acquired from Anaheim in exchange for a player to be named or cash considerations.[2]
