1996
- Tampa Bay announces an agreement to share the Short-Season Hudson Valley Renegades of the New York-Penn League for the 1996 season with the Texas Rangers. The Devil Rays commit to supplying half of the players on the roster as well as the pitching coach, while Texas will provide the remaining players and the manager. [1]
2004
- Pitchers Al Reyes, Carlos Reyes, Mike Holtz, and Todd Jones, infielders Fernando Tatis and Jared Sandberg, and catcher Mitch Melusky were signed to minor league contracts with invitations to spring training.[2]
2005
- Free agent infielder Alex Gonzalez was signed to a 1-year Major League contract.[3]
- Pitcher Mark Guthrie was signed to a minor league contract and invited to spring training.[3]
