- Pitcher Wilson Alvarez was placed on the 15-day disabled list with left shoulder tendinitis, retroactive to May 21.[1]
- Infielder Bobby Smith was activated from the 15-day disabled list.[1]
1999
- Pitcher Tony Saunders was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a broken left arm.[2]
- Pitcher Dave Eiland was selected from Triple-A Durham.[2]
2000
- Designated hitter Jose Canseco was placed on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to May 25, with a strained left heel.[3]
