- Pitcher Ramon Tatis was optioned to Triple-A Durham.[1]
- Pitchers Larry Casian, Steve Cooke, Travis Harper, Santos Hernandez, Mark Hutton, John LeRoy, Bobby Munoz, Steve Ontiveros, Bobby Seay, and Mark Seivert, catchers Toby Hall, Paul Hoover, and Tom Wilson, infielders Aaron Holbert and Chris Martin, and outfielders Brooks Kieschnick and Luke Wilcox were assigned to minor league camp.[1]
