- Pitcher Brandon Backe was optioned to Triple-A Durham.[1]
- Pitcher Enger Veras was designated for assignment.[1]
- Pitcher Lance Carter was selected from Triple-A Durham.[1]
2012
- Infielder Sean Rodriguez was recalled from Triple-A Durham and placed on the 15-day disabled list with a right hand fracture.[2]
- Tampa Bay acquired outfielder Ben Francisco from the Houston Astros in exchange for a PTBN.[2]
- Pitcher Albert Suarez was designated for assignment. [2]
- Outfielder Kevin Kiermaier was assigned to Triple-A Durham from Advanced-A Charlotte.[3]
- Infielder Tyler Goeddel was placed on the 7-day disabled list at Single-A Bowling Green, retroactive to August 29.[4]
