- Outfielder Paul Sorrento was activated from the 15-day disabled list.[1]
- Pitcher Mike Duvall was optioned to Triple-A Durham.[1]
2002
- Pitcher Tom Martin was placed on the 60-day disabled list with a torn left rotator cuff.[2]
- Pitcher Travis Harper was selected from Triple-A Durham.[2]
