- Pitcher Dave Eiland was activated from the 15-day disabled list.[1]
2000
- Pitcher Ryan Rupe was placed on the 60-day disabled list with a blood clot in his right shoulder.[2]
- Pitcher Mike Ducall was designated for assignment.[2]
- Outfielder Randy Winn was recalled from Triple-A Durham.[2]
- Outfielder Ozzie Timmons and catcher Toby Hall were selected from Triple-A Durham.[2]
