- Infielders Russ Johnson and Josh Pressley were traded to New York (NL) as the players to be named to completed the December 15 acquisition of infielder Rey Ordonez.[1]
- Infielder Hector Luna was selected from Cleveland during the Rule 5 draft.[2]

- Pitcher Phillips Valdez was signed to a minor league contract.[3]
