- Outfielder Josh Hamilton, catcher Pete LaForest, and pitchers Hans Smith, Brian Stokes, and Matt White were optioned to Double-A Orlando.[1]
- Infielders Jay Canizaro, Ryan Jackson, Brian Lesher, Gabby Martinez, and B.J. Upton, pitchers Brian Fitzgerald, Jeremi Gonzalez, Kevin McGlinchy, Matt Perisho, Carlos Reyes, Mel Rojas, Eric Sabel, and Blake Stein, catchers Charlie Greene and Angel Pena, and outfielder Chad Mottola were assigned to minor league camp.[1]
- Pitchers Leslie Brea, Wayne Gomes, and Mike James were released.[1]
