- Pitcher Wilson Alvarez (left shoulder tendinitis) and infielder Damian Rolls (right shoulder surgery) were placed on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to March 25.[2]

- Infielders Brent Abernathy and Aubrey Huff, pitchers Travis Phelps and Dan Wheeler, and outfielder Jason Tyner were optioned to Triple-A Durham.[3]
- Catcher Pat Borders and pitcher Rusty Meacham were assigned to minor league camp.[3]
- Pitchers Wilson Alvarez and Juan Guzman were placed on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to March 23.[3]
