- Outfielder Jason Conti was traded to Milwaukee in exchange for catcher Javier Valentin.[1]
- Pitchers Dewon Brazelton and Gerardo Garcia were optioned to Triple-A Durham.[1]
- Catcher Jorge Fabregas was assigned to minor league camp.[1]
2004
- Pitcher Jason Standridge was placed on the 15-day disabled list to recover from right shoulder surgery.[2]
- Infielders Deivi Cruz and Fernando Tatis, and pitchers Todd Jones and Mike Williams were released.[2]
